Our client seeks an Accounting Clerk for their busy real estate company to start immediately. Our client has assisted client with Real Estate Management for almost 30 years and generates $3 million annually. A medium sized team, the corporate office is based in Denver.

This is a contract / temp to hire opportunity. Although starting as temporary, it will go to direct hire and there is exciting room for growth!! Hours are 8am - 5pm M-F. Pay is $20/hour and starts asap.

About the Role (duties may include):

  • Accounts Receivable (A/R)
  • Aging reports
  • Past due notice preparation
  • Accounts Payable (A/P)
  • General accounting duties
  • Follow accounting policies
  • Prepare deposits
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
  • Record bank transactions
  • Pay bills
  • Prepare invoices
  • Prepare and process expense forms
  • Monthly/ Quarterly bookkeeping tasks
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Post month-end journal entries
  • Update journal entries with payroll, monthly revenue, deferred balances
  • Reconcile the subledger
  • Update General Ledger
  • Reconcile balance sheets and variances
  • Process payroll
  • Coordinate employee time approvals
  • Communicate with clients and 3rd party vendors
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets
  • Provide customer service support
  • Maintain files and documentation
  • Provide documents and reports as requested
  • Assist in month-end closing
  • Assist with monthly financial statements
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Assist in annual audit and schedules
  • Assist with improvement of accounting procedures
  • Additional duties and special projects as assigned

About the Candidate:

  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping (MUST)
  • Knowledge of balance/income statements (MUST)
  • Advanced computer / software skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel (MUST)
  • Desired Personality Traits and Advanced Skills: excellent grammar, ability to write clear and concisely, strong interpersonal communication, ability to anticipate needs and problems, analyze and prioritize issues, attention to detail, organized, conflict/problem resolution, team player
