This role will establish and manage the procedures and protocol for new and existing employees in the US. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates wishing to have an active role in shaping the culture of a rapidly growing company.

About the Role:

  • Recruit candidates (heavy demand at the start)
  • Provide orientation, paperwork and arrange training for new hires
  • Improve recruiting and onboarding process
  • Review and improve current technology (example: electronic time sheets)
  • Plan, direct and coordinate HR activities
  • Administer employee compensation, policies, benefits, performance tracking
  • Complete regular performance reviews
  • Review and maintain all compliance items (EEO, Labor, etc.)
  • Prepare conduct reports
  • Prepare and manage benefits set up and disbursements
  • Implement systems and processes where needed
  • Establish and manage an HR procedural system
  • Determine salaries
  • Troubleshoot human resources policies and procedures
  • Communicate changes in company policies
  • Oversee compliance with established protocol
  • Onboard new employees
  • Assist company employees with benefits and other human resources related topics
  • Assist with payroll
  • Recruit and interview candidates
  • Mediate conflicts

About the Candidate:

  • BA (Bachelor’s) degree (MUST)
  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources (MUST)
  • 3+ years’ experience in construction, architecture, real estate, engineering or related (PLUS)
  • Basic payroll tax knowledge and ADP experience (MUST)
  • Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws (MUST)
  • Experienced in recruitment, HR administration, benefits, performance reviews processes, compensation & pay structures (MUST)
  • Intermediate + computer skills including MS Office Suite, with Word and Excel (MUST)
  • Personality, Characteristics and Skills: advanced written and oral communication, able to manage teams, able to work independently, self-motivated, organized, team player, meticulous, detail oriented, positive attitude, able to delegate, “can-do” attitude, critical thinker
