Human Resources Generalist/Manager

We are currently interviewing experienced Human Resources Generalists for a contract opportunity with our client, an online insurance provider and recipient of multiple awards for its online services and customer service.

This position will provide HR support to their corporate office and sales center. Tasks include employee relations, training, benefits and performance management. This contract position will assist with the development, implementation and administration of policies, procedures and programs.

About the Job:

  • Advises on HR policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal labor laws and requirements
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Oversee terminations
  • Investigate and respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints including Title VII, FLSA or similar
  • Administer worker's compensation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA filings/postings
  • Respond to state or federal EEOC/DOL inquiries
  • Assist with employee evaluations
  • Update job descriptions
  • Special assignments
  • Assist payroll when requested
  • Troubleshoot human resources policies and procedures
  • Communicate changes in company policies
  • Oversee compliance with established protocol
  • On-board new hires
  • Assist company employees with benefits and other human resources related topics
  • Mediate conflicts
  • Coach employees and managers through issues
  • Present training to large audiences

About the Candidate:

  • BA in human resources, business or related (MUST)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory human resources role
  • Working knowledge of ADP Payroll/ADP HRB and SuccessFactors Performance Management (PLUS)
  • Advanced software skills using Outlook/Word/Excel/Powerpoint (MUST)
  • PHR/SPHR certification (PLUS)
  • Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Experienced in recruitment, HR administration, benefits, performance reviews processes, compensation & pay structures
  • Occasional travel will be required.
