Manager of Financial Reporting in Property Management Firm

We are interviewing experienced professionals with a fantastic opportunity at our client’s West LA office. Our client develops and manages high end office and entertainment properties along the west coast of California and up through the Pacific Northwest. Focused on long term investments, they take great care with design-forward workspaces and tenant retention through organic growth.

The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for preparing financial reports, consolidations, financial statements, disclosures and other SEC demands.

About the Position:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports using form 10-Q and 10-K
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Prepare support schedules, reconciliations and reports
  • Implement new accounting standards
  • Prepare consolidations
  • Fulfill special project, audit and ad-hoc requests
  • Miscellaneous duties
  • Assist with accounting requests, analysis and research
  • Implement and streamline office procedures

About The Candidate:

  • BA degree Accounting (MUST)
  • 2+ years’ experience with SEC reports (MUST)
  • 2+ years’ experience public accounting (MUST)
  • CPA license (PLUS)
  • Solid experience accounting principles and concepts (MUST)
  • Experience preparing 10-Q/10-K financial statements, footnotes and schedules (MUST)
  • Real estate knowledge (PLUS)
  • Working knowledge of MRI (or equivalent) (PLUS)
  • Working knowledge of Workiva aka WebFilings (PLUS)
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office with Excel (MUST)
  • Personality: motivated, self-starter, organized, diligent, detail orientated, analytical, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team player, works well with groups, ethical, discrete, able to work under pressure, sound judgment, excellent decision making abilities, polished demeanor
