Operations Manager for International Accessories Company

Our client, an international luxury jeweler world renowned for innovative, cutting edge design that takes inspiration from pop culture and artists of every medium, seeks a new General Manager for their Los Angeles location.

This GM will liaise between the US and UK divisions. Scope of responsibilities include: stock, shipping and logistics, management, budgets, reports and analysis, quality control, facilities management.

About the Position:

  • Track open orders
  • Prepare weekly sales projections
  • Manage employees and 3rd party vendors
  • Prepare shipment value and delivery projections
  • Provide leadership, direction and advice
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Ensure sales orders are processed and delivered on time
  • Update pricing for bespoke or one off orders
  • Oversee stock requests
  • Liaise between USA and UK teams
  • Manage the allocation of incoming product as per due dates, special requests etc.
  • Ensure prices are correct in SAP
  • Correctly code shipping documents such as TIB, Carnet, and Duty Drawback
  • Pass shipping charges onto clients when applicable
  • Assess transportation options as per cost and time
  • Maintain accuracy of import/export log for all shipments
  • Oversee stock control
  • Audit ticketing regularly to ensure accuracy
  • Oversee quarterly stock
  • Allocate US receipt of goods appropriately
  • Manage QC including examining products for loose stones, faulty mechanisms, and damage
  • Manage repairs with local workshop
  • Monitor and process bills
  • Review and compare expenses against budget
  • Oversee facilities and programs, such as health and safety regulations, Insurance and security
  • Maintain vendor contracts
  • Oversee compliance with local, state and federal code
  • Approve purchase orders and invoices
  • Prepare quarterly reports including operating, stock, cleaning and utilities summaries
  • Coordinate shipping
  • Create security-related policies and procedures
  • Update manuals with new or revised policies


About The Candidate:

  • 1+ year experience within luxury goods (MUST)
  • Experience within jewelry sector (PLUS)
  • 1+ year experience with SAP (MUST)
  • Advanced computer / software skills: including Excel (MUST)
  • Desired Personality Traits and Advanced Skills: high level leadership skills and experience, excellent grammar, ability to write clearly and concisely, strong interpersonal communication, ability to anticipate needs and problems, analyze and prioritize issues, attention to detail, organized, conflict/problem resolution, analytical, team building skills
