Outside Sales Representative

Our client, a successful clean energy company specializing in green upgrades for residential and commercial buildings (offering special financing to help customers achieve clean energy goals) seeks an outside sales representative for business development and continued growth throughout the southern California region.

This role is 100% commission based with an opportunity to reach between $100 to $500k per year (top closers regularly earn $30-40k per month). One week of paid training will be provided immediately upon hire with continued support from executives and team members as needed.

About the Position:

  • Provide weekly progress reports
  • Be accessible by phone and text immediately during work hours
  • Develop sales leads and opportunities through marketing and outreach efforts
  • NO cold calling, canvassing or door-to-door sales
  • Follow up on quality, warm sales leads (provided by company)
  • Schedule and attend 1-2 sales appointments per day
  • Frequent travel to meet with potential customers (car travel)
  • Provide standard and customized quotes for potential clean energy improvements
  • Compare market competition in informative ways
  • Offer complete transparency to potential customers
  • Stay current on competition: services, materials and prices
  • Prepare enrollment paperwork for new customers
  • Work with team members to provide first class customer service
  • Regularly communicate with team and management about current and projected upgrades
  • Complete 1 week of paid training at start of employment

About The Candidate:

  • Proven ability to proactively engage prospective customers (face-to-face)
  • Solid, proven, closing numbers and history (MUST)
  • Valid CA Drivers' License with valid Auto Insurance (MUST)
  • Bilingual (PLUS)
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales and business development (PLUS)
  • Intermediate computer and MS Office (MUST)
  • Desired Personality Traits and Advanced Skills: excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, fantastic presentation / presenter, upbeat, customer service focused, public speaking abilities, self-motivated, problem resolution (nothing is a problem, it’s an opportunity)
