Seeking a Systems Administrator to manage the firm’s Active Directory environment and assists on other projects as assigned by the Director of Information Technology. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for documenting the systems for architectural descriptions and procedural/troubleshooting purposes. The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for taking escalated support calls relating to Active Directory services, file systems access, and other troubleshooting activities or needs. The ideal candidate will become part of the Information Technology team and will work closely with the firm’s managers and Network Services Administrators.


  • Provide AD services to organizations throughout the firm
  • Configure and manage organization units and objects
  • Advise the firm on appropriate AD policies
  • Implement all firm approved AD policies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Group Policy Object (GPO) application problems for the enterprise
  • Monitor and identify replication interruptions between domain controllers
  • Provide hands-on and remote administration of other equipment not specifically identified
  • Assist in management of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems and certificates
  • Assist in the support and maintenance of the firm’s backup solution
  • Provide level 2/3 support for front and back office issues
  • Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together
  • Work and coordinate activities with 3rd party vendors as needed
  • Maintain network and system security
  • Proactively analyze and isolate issues
  • Take technical ownership of projects and systems accordingly
  • Provide redundancy as needed with other team members
  • Support multiple office locations within the region, both physically and virtually
  • Research, test, document and apply best practices and industry standard processes
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services

Required Qualifications

  • College degree in the field of computer science and/or 3+ years recent IT experience with strong understanding of current IT infrastructure, theories, principles, and practices
  • Certification such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 2008 and 2012
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration
  • Strong knowledge of System and Data backups
  • General knowledge of Systems Security best practices and procedures
  • Experience with email management and systems
  • Strong Knowledge of Virtualization
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in a legal environment preferred, but not required

  • Some weekend and holiday hours
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components

Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects (50lbs), such as computers and peripherals
