Job Description

We are interviewing dynamic and experienced Human Resources Assistant for our client, a well-established mental health care facility in Los Angeles.

This position provides HR support with daily tasks related to employee relations, onboarding and administration. This contract position will assist with the development, implementation and administration of policies, procedures and programs.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized, has high energy and a passion for follow through… they don’t wait to be told the next step. This role requires excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, as well as a thorough knowledge of Human Resources and laws that affect.

On-board new hires
Review and upload accurate documents related to personnel files
Assist with new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, garnishments and changes to employment
Process employment verifications
Collect paperwork on current staff for data reports and files from multiple parties
Perform regular HR file audits to ensure accuracy
Complete new hire documentation
Conduct reference and background checks
Prepare orientation materials for newly hired employees
Assist with employee evaluations, off boarding and exit interviews
Prepare notices and documents
Troubleshoot human resources policies and procedures
Special assignments

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (PLUS)
2+ years’ experience as a human resources assistant (MUST)
1+ years’ experience in healthcare environment (PLUS)
Intermediate computer/software skills: Outlook/Word/Excel/Powerpoint (MUST)
Desired Personality Traits and Advanced Skills: ability to work independently, good customer service skills, ability to work with all staff at all levels, ability to write clearly and concisely, strong interpersonal communication, ability to anticipate needs and problems, analyze and prioritize issues, attention to detail, organized, conflict/problem resolution, effective written and verbal communication, unwavering integrity, confidentiality, discretion
