Low-income Housing Compliance Specialist

Job Description
Our client, a non-profit organization in DTLA that focuses on providing housing opportunities to homeless or low-income individuals, has an immediate need for a Compliance Specialist. The individual in this role will assign income eligible applicants to low-income housing units, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform interviews to ensure that applicants meet requirements for low-income house
- Assist in coordinating
- Assist with annual compliance audits
- Coordinate application processing for multiple properties, including applicants with Section 8 documents
- Prepare monthly reports for the Compliance Administrator regarding all move-ins
- Coordinating duties for Rental Office staff to ensure all vacant units
- Maintain wait list for reasonable accommodations
- Act as liaison to various state and local agencies
- Data entry
- Following local regulations including the LIHTC and HOME Programs
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- 1-2 years experience in Affordable Housing (LIHTC, HOME, Section 8 housing)
- LIHTC and HOME program knowledge
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office
- Yardi Voyager experience
